Winner of "AI for Bio" Scientific Poster Presentation at IIT Kharagpur

TBIT Wins at IIT Kharagpur!

A TBIT student team of CSE(AI& ML) 4th year, won first place in the scientific poster competition at IIT Kharagpur under the theme "AI for Bio" . The team members, Sneha Dutta, Jyotirmoy Mandal, Koushani Bhowmik, and Suman Panja, were mentored by Dr. Arpita Chakraborty and Dr. Jyoti Sekhar Banerjee. Their winning poster was titled "A Quantum Computing Framework for Alzheimer’s Drug Candidate Screening."

Winner of Smart India Hackathon 2025 (SIH 2025)

Team BIT IGNITERS from TBIT became joint winner of Smart India Hackathon 2025 (SIH 2025) in Hardware Section. Team members are -Mr. Sukhendu Roy (Mentor), Soumyajeet Pal (Team Leader), Sanchayan Bera, Piyush Kumar, Sonit Kumar Ray, Debabrata Das and Ankita Das. Our hearty congratulations to the mentor and the team.

Alumni Achievement

Dr. Aranyak Maity, alumnus of our institution has earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Arizona State University in April 2025 and is now working as an Applied Scientist - II at Amazon in New York, USA.

WINNER UNESCO INDIA AFRICA HACKATHON 2022

BIT is awestruck at this HISTORIC MOMENT of Lokesh Pandey's (CSE, 4 th year) magnificent success in the UNESCO INDIA AFRICA HACKATHON 2022.

UNESCO India Africa Hackathon which recently happened in the beautiful campus of Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, actually opens new avenues for cultural assimilation, showcasing skills for finding

solutions to societal challenges and further strengthening "One World, One Family, One Future".

More than 600 innovators comprising Students from 22 African countries and Indian Students worked so hard together non stop 36 hours to develop solutions for 20 problem statements during 22nd - 25 th November 2022..

A big congratulation to Lokesh and his team "HEX CLAN" (UIA 402) for winning the 1st prize in their Problem Statement 'ENE G41'.
